The musical comedy ‘Khaltour’ is a Persian term applied to a singer who performs low quality music at (wedding) parties and his songs are meaningless. The word is used to describe such kind of music as well.

The story revolves around three young musicians who try not to do popular and cheesy Khaltour songs, but instead work on more prestigious pop songs. However, they have to change their mind when their works fail to gain the popularity they had anticipated.

Arash Moayerian has directed a number of movies, including ‘Take Off’ (2002), ‘Coma’ (2003), ‘Charlatan’ (2004), ‘Left-Handed’ (2005), ‘He Who Goes to Sea’ (2006), ‘Milk and Honey’ (2009), ‘The Shy Suitor’ (2010), and ‘Hectic Times’ (2011).

Aside from directing, he writes screenplays and edits films.
